Mineral sunscreen, also known as physical sunscreen, uses natural active ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide to sit on top of your skin and physically block or reflect harmful UV rays. In contrast, chemical sunscreens absorb into the skin and use synthetic ingredients to absorb UV rays, converting them into heat. While both types can be effective, mineral sunscreens are often preferred for their gentler, more natural approach—especially for sensitive skin types.
